"Capa'cité": Integration projects in the catering and event industry

The Salvation Army Foundation has been present in France since 1881. From the 1920s to the 1930s, several of its large establishments were built, such as the Women's Palace, the City of Refuge, the People's Palace, etc.
It intervenes in the field of social and medico-social action, the protection and accompaniment of children and adolescents, food aid, ...

The Salvation Army Foundation has organized its activity in favour of the economic integration of the most precarious through the creation of a workcamp, the Chantier Capa'cité.
Since 2017, it has provided support to employees in the Cité du Refuge (a building designed by Le Corbusier), and since 2017, it has been helping them to find work through two different pathways:
- a remobilizing course: mainly a literacy course, based on 4 support activities (cleaning, laundry, maintenance, events, etc.).
- a qualifying path: professionalization in the catering industry (CQP with Geres Formation).

2 full-time people provide orientation for the 24 people on the site.

Amélie Patin, Group Internal Audit Manager, met the Jump Army teams and more particularly the Capa'cité project manager during an evening dedicated to Philanthropy in 2018. She found that the project was a real development for the structure and wanted to ask for help from Solidarity AccorHotels. For the past year, they have been following the progress of the project and will invest more in a support also related to its business expertise.
