Hospitality industry career initiation program for socially vulnerable young people

Unibes is a Brazilian NGO which aims to improve access conditions to the labor market by underprivileged classes through education.

In 2008, AccorHotels Brazil head office staff and the NGO Unibes established a hospitality industry career initiation program for socially vulnerable young people. Every year, this project enables 60 young people to follow theoretical trainings (manners and behavior at work, customer service and making decisions) and practical trainings (organizing events, sales methods, human resources, logistics, telemarketing…).

For 4 years, the Accor Foundation* has supported this program with the training of 250 young people in difficulty. In 2015, Solidarity Accor pursues its support for 60 additional young people.

* In 2013, the Accor Foundation became Solidarity Accor.

Unibes does an incredible job of training young people and preparing them for the job market. Therefore, AccorHotels’ support for this program is extremely important because give us the opportunity to build together a more promising future for several students, who otherwise might not have such an opportunity. For us it is a pride and a great responsibility to be part of this project!
