“The House of Hope”: creation of a place which welcomes young people in difficulty to support them in their training.
The NGO Smile Group, which was founded in 2004, aims to help direct and indirect AIDS victims by providing them with financial, educational, social, medical and psychological support. Smile Group also runs HIV awareness raising campaigns to inform the local population. Since 2009, the NGO has been the official partner of AccorHotels Asia-Pacific.
In October 2010, the association moved into a house in the center of Ho Chi Minh City, from which it will expand its activities, welcome families badly affected by the virus and develop an education and insertion program. This “House of Hope” organizes training courses in English and computing and provides access to health care, medical support, yoga lessons…
The Accor Foundation* supported this program in 2010 and 2012 and helped the NGO to buy materials necessary for the computer and English trainings.
* In 2013, the Accor Foundation became Solidarity Accor.
