« Journée de la Cohésion » (Cohesion day): creation of a Job Forum in Massy for young people from sensitive neighborhoods.
Rugby Club Massy Essonne (RCME) is a French association created in 1971 with the missions of playing Rugby and promoting and training young people in difficulty in the region.
In June 2010, RCME organized the “Journée de la Cohésion” grouping together the club’s partner companies and authorities, local companies and young people looking for a job. This event was made of 2 parts:
- the Job Forum: young people looking for a job, mostly from difficult neighborhoods, came to meet the participating companies;
- a sportive event in which the companies and young people who attended the Forum participated.
With the success of this first edition, RCME pursued this project in 2012 and 2013.
The Accor Foundation* supported this project in 2012 and 2013 and helped the RCME to professionalize the Job Forum.
* In 2013, the Accor Foundation became Solidarity Accor.
« I would like to thank the Accor Foundation through its employees from whom we found a kindly listening. I also encourage everyone to use this resource to help a maximum of associations. All you have to do is want to give some of your time for the others. »
