Training and professional insertion of women in difficulty in in preparation for jobs in cleaning and hospitality.
Promofemmes is a French non-profit association formed in 1994 with the aim at providing migrant women with social, cultural and employment support as part of facilitating their personal and family integration into French society.
The relationship between Promofemmes and the Accor Group dates from 2007 and began in the Group’s hotels in Bordeaux. As part of extending this joint commitment for the long term, three members of staff from the Accor Group – Marie-Françoise Becerro, Patricia Jakubowska and Martine Castaing – worked with the association in 2012 to set up a pilot project to train these women in cleaning and hospitality careers. After their theoretical training, women realize a work experience in one of the 9 Accor hotels who take part in the project.
Solidarity Accor supports Promofemmes
In 2012, the Accor Foundation* supported the pilot program in which 16 women were supported in their training. In following years, Solidarity Accor continued to support the training of 20 new women on cleaning, hotel and catering professions in 2013 and of 9 women in 2014.
* In 2013, the Accor Foundation became Solidarity Accor.
«I am full of admiration for the energy that the charity deploys every day for the benefit of women who have had difficult experiences and whose courage is rewarded with these training programs. »
