Training and insertion of women in difficulty thanks to a workshop creating objects made from recycled materials
ODIM, a Guatemalan association created in 2001, promotes the development of the people in situation of handicap and difficulty thanks to professional training programs intended to help them to improve their social conditions.
In 2009, ODIM created a training project around a workshop creating objects made from recycled materials. In this workshop, the NGO welcomes people in difficulty so that they develop professional competences, have incomes and gradually become autonomous
The Accor Foundation* supported the NGO in order to professionalize this workshop and to make it possible to the women to be better trained and more effective in the production and the sale of their objects.
* In 2013, the Accor Foundation became Solidarity Accor.
