« Building Dreams » : training of young people in difficulty in construction and building activities

Mutual de Arquitectos is an architect’s trade organization which aim is to help young motivated people from underprivileged environments gain access to construction and building activities.

In 2009, this organization established the pilot program “Building Dreams” which aims to help young people aged from 25 to 30, unemployed and belonging to the same community from underprivileged environments gain access to construction and building activities. The project’s objective is to train 10 men each year to find work.

The Accor Foundation* supported this program during 2 years and enabled 20 young people to be supported in their professional training.

* In 2013, the Accor Foundation became Solidarity Accor.

I was delighted at the idea of working on a solidarity project in Argentina. It was important for me to help those in difficulty, giving them the tools to become independent.
