Training and insertion of young people in difficulty in catering careers.
Apprentis d’Auteuil is a national foundation set up in 1866 to provide training and education for more than 23,000 socially vulnerable young people every year. It helps them to integrate into society, at the same time as supporting their families in fulfilling their educational role.
Since 2013, a team of employees from seven Sofitel has been participating in the "10 km de l’Equipe" race in Paris to collect donations in support of “Apprentis d’Auteuil” for its Thiais establishment, which trains disadvantaged young persons in the catering professions.
In 2017, Pullman employees have joined forces with Sofitel ambassadors and 6 establishments (45 employees) were involved and raised €2,400 for the association. This fund raising, upheld by Solidarity AccorHotels, allows them to support the Thiais establishment in transforming its “hotel, café and restaurant sales and service” CAP diploma and setting up training areas for 80 young people.
It's always a pleasure to support the "Apprentis d’Auteuil" foundation through this sportive and challenging race. It's a great opportunity to enable the coming generation to enter the labour market with the best skills and knowledge.
