Allow young people with mental disabilities to recover their autonomy.
L’Arche à Paris, created in 1973, welcomes people with mental disabilities. It is implementing community projects by promoting their development and their social and professional integration.
As of today, we can estimate at more than 13,000 the number of people with mental disabilities in Paris. Residential homes exist but there are too few. Already present in the 15th arrondissement of Paris with 5 institutions and aware of the importance of the needs, L’Arche à Paris opened 2 new homes in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. Each residential home hosts 6 people who can earn the autonomy and live more independently.
The Accor Foundation* supported the organization to buy equipment for these 2 residential homes.
* In 2013, the Accor Foundation became Solidarity Accor.
« I have been supporting this association for several years. Allow young people with mental disabilities to recover their autonomy, in the heart of cities, I have found that beyond any material assistance, it had meaning for each and every one of us. »
