Support finding employment for long-term unemployed persons

La Cravate Solidaire, French organization created in Paris in January 2012, aims to facilitate access to employment for people in integration or professional reintegration by fighting against discrimination related to appearance. Its mission is to offer tailored clothing and advice from human resources specialists to prepare the candidate for the day of the interview.

Last March, the staff of the hotel was invited to participate to a garage sale ... both as providers and as buyers. This first edition has enabled the hotel to raise 479 € to which Solidarity AccorHotels has contributed by doubling this amount. Nearly 1000 € which will be used to support 3 people by la Cravate Solidaire: image consulting session, white interview, skills assessment, but also the professional photo shoot that allow beneficiaries to enhance their resume as well as booster their image and self-confidence!

At the same time, under the leadership of Audrey Le Pape, personal assistant at the Sofitel le Faubourg, 119 hotel uniforms (shirts, dresses, jacket...) as well as suits and clothes brought directly by the employees were donated to la Cravate Solidaire.

Personal Assistant - Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg

As the Paris le Faubourg Sofitel’s Planet 21 ambassador (Editor's note: AccorHotels’ sustainable development program), it was important for me to find a responsible and long-lasting solution to recycle all the professional clothes we had to dispose of.
The satisfaction of helping and the desire to be able to share the results with our colleagues is a real drive for this solidarity action as well as being an excellent team builder. An engaging first experience that will push us to renew the experience.
