“Solidarity at Christmas”, Pullman Paris: support for seven people facing difficulties finding work
La Cravate Solidaire, a French charity formed in January 2012, aims to facilitate the job search process for people seeking to join or rejoin the world of work by fighting against appearance-based discrimination.
Its goal is to provide appropriate clothes and advice from human resources specialists to suitably prepare candidates and give them the best chance for success in interviews.
An original event! In December 2015, the team at Pullman Paris organised a competition to promote solidarity for the best Christmas tree decoration with its partner travel agencies. The winning travel agency was Kuoni, which was awarded a cheque for €1,000 that it donated to La Cravate Solidaire for its job search support initiatives.
Solidarity AccorHotels doubled this amount so €2,000 was consequently donated to La Cravate Solidaire to help it provide support and advise seven people on their job search process in 2016.
I’m particularly interested in the charity’s goal: collecting clothes to help people rejoin the world of work. In addition, the founding members are three young dynamic students who have just graduated from business school! This experience created genuine synergy within the team! I‘m proud of this first cooperation project.
