Support and training to help empower a farming group of 30 disadvantaged people.

Ivoire Développement Durable (IDD) is an NGO from Côte d'Ivoire founded in 2007 with the aim of promoting Sustainable Development and enhancing the ability of Ivoiriens to formalise and implement economically viable projects. Solidarity AccorHotels has supported this NGO since 2009, working with IDD to carry out two professional training projects.

In 2017, the Côte d’Ivoire AccorHotels teams wish to support the creation of a new farming group assisted by IDD, in the village of Duékoué in west Côte d’Ivoire near Liberia and Guinea. This project will help empower 30 beneficiaries, who will be taught agricultural techniques, management of the co-op, sales techniques and nutrition and hygiene. The project, undertaken in cooperation with the Ministry of School Canteens, will allow part of the crop of vegetables to be distributed at the village canteen.

Solidarity AccorHotels and the AccorHotels teams in Côte d’Ivoire support the professional training of this farming group and are providing financial aid used towards the purchase of equipment, site development, and group training and support.
