Developpement of job-integration workshops for people with disabilities.
Entraide Populaire Familiale is an organization that works on a variety of individual and collective mutual-aid opportunities to promote and develop social and professional integration and education for people with mental disabilities. Since 1970, the organization has managed the Centre Psychopédagogique of Alger.
In this center, the organization develops job-integration workshops for people with disabilities. Thanks to the different activities proposed in this center (laundry, pastry, local know-how…), the beneficiaries learn gradually to live self-reliantly, socialize and work.
The Accor Foundation* has supported this organization since 2009 and has allowed it to set up many of the teaching workshops: in crafts (mosaic, upholstery, painting, etc.), laundry and pastry-making. It has helped train 102 young people.
* In 2013, the Accor Foundation became Solidarity Accor.
« We are involved in this project to help and support children and grownups who have mental handicaps, i.e. to open up a learning path that, we hope, will lead a few of them to social and professional integration. »
