Professional training of socially vulnerable people in catering careers.
Cuisine Mode d’Emploi(s) is a catering career training center created and sponsored by Michelin-starred chef Thierry Marx (in partnership with the local authority for the 20th arrondissement of Paris), which introduced its qualification-based cookery training program in May 2012.
In 2012, Thierry Marx set up his own training center, which he calls Cuisine Mode d’Emploi(s) to offer a short, free, qualification-based course for commis chefs. The young people benefit from 8 weeks of theoretical and practical training and 4 weeks of work experience. In October 2013, Cuisine Mode d’Emploi(s) opened a new center in the Saint-Blaise district of the 20th arrondissement of Paris which aims at boosting the number of trainees who can join the current cooking course and at offering two new courses: restaurant service / baking.
The Accor Foundation* supported the equipment of this new training center.
* In 2013, the Accor Foundation became Solidarity Accor.
