« My Future, My Responsibility » : program of social and professionnel support of young people in difficulty.
Children of the Dawn (« Les Enfants de l’Aurore »), NGO founded in 2002, is supporting existing or new initiatives to help orphans and children with HIV/Aids in disadvantaged rural communities in South Africa. As of today, the NGO is supporting more than 807 children and teenagers.
Since 2010, Children of the Dawn has set up a program to help rural youngsters in difficulties build their future. Every year, the NGO organizes professional workshops (discovery of qualities and behaviors to develop in companies, management courses, company visits, meetings with professionals, etc.) and provides scholastic and social tutoring (education workshop, brainstorming on behavior, drug awareness, etc.) and medical assistance (healthcare, nutrition, hygiene, etc.).
The Accor Foundation* was convinced of the program’s effectiveness and provided support for 279 young people in 2011 and 362 in 2012. In 2014, Solidarity Accor pursued this support for 505 new young people.
* In 2013, the Accor Foundation became Solidarity Accor.
« Being a parent myself, I appreciate and applause the initiative of the organization in supporting orphans and destitute children largely caused by poverty and the scourge of HIV & Aids diseases. »
