 « Carré des Biffins »

Aurore, French organization founded in 1871, accommodates, cares for and supports almost 30,000 deprived people or in a situation of social exclusion in their path towards social and professional integration. Aurore is present throughout France and coordinates several accommodation centers or sites enabling the social and economic reinsertion of the most vulnerable populations. A good exemple is the “Carré des Biffins”, an extension of the St-Ouen Flea Market, located in the north of Paris, where people with no or little resources can sell salvaged goods and generate a revenue.

For the 3rd year in a row, the Pullman Paris Sales team wished to associate its partner travel agencies to a solidarity action. The best Christmas tree decoration has been awarded €1,000 – doubled by Solidarity AccorHotels – to donate for the cause of their choice.

The winning travel agency, Equatour, decided to donate these 2 000€ to Aurore, for them to buy tents and equipment to protect the flea market “Carré des Biffins” area during cold or heat waves.

The goals of Aurore, centered around the welcoming of precarious people echos our job as hoteliers.
Aurore has a great History and the teams are carried by it as wall as by their mission. Their commitment is impressive. The Carrés des Biffins project that we were able to support seemed innovative.
