Creation of the "Bio&Co" workshop: market garden seeking social and work integration

Ateliere Fara Frontiere (AFF), established in 2008, is a Romanian charity and a social firm seeking insertion through social and solidarity economy for disadvantaged persons. It focuses on fighting against waste and pollution and in favour of responsible waste management and protection of the environment.

Since September 2015, the NGO has developed a new activity which consists in growing organic vegetables and composting food waste, to provide more job opportunities to people in great difficulty.

Solidarity AccorHotels supports the creation of this new "Bio&Co" workshop allowing 20 people very far from the employment market to receive support in their approach to professional reinsertion.

I strongly believe that this project provides a very good solution for the community, by offering job opportunities for a special category. It offers an attractive option for our hotels to purchase local organic vegetables and a new solution in reducing food waste from our restaurant.
It is a truly circular project and we are proud to support Ateliere Fara Frontiere as they have already proven their quality as an active NGO in various fields of activity.
