Training disadvantaged people on jobs in the beauty industry
Aliança de Misericordia, a Brazilian NGO created in 2000, runs several reception centres for people in serious difficulty in the Park Taipas district of São Paulo. It aims to help and encourage the social integration of families in precarious situations and their children. It offers many activities promoting music, sport, culture, etc. and professional training courses enabling beneficiaries to integrate the world of work.
The NGO, supported by the AccorHotels teams from the ibis São Paulo Expo, will develop a new training programme on jobs in the beauty industry with a view to diversifying the employability of the beneficiaries.
In 2015, Solidarity Accor is supporting this project by financing part of the equipment required to set up training workshops and the supplies required to run the workshops.
I am involved in this project because I think it is our responsibility to help to build a more egalitarian world with better conditions, without social inequality. This project enables the appreciation of the people by creating job opportunities for mothers, and improve the living conditions of this families served by this project.
