"Village Aïna Antanandrano": supporting young women in a very precarious situation in their social and professional integration

Aïna, Enfance et Avenir, a French association founded in 2005 and working in Madagascar, aims to improve the everyday lives of children in Madagascar, by supporting them at school and setting up structures to satisfy children's needs. It has also developed a maternal and child health programme where it welcomes young neglected mothers and their children.

In order to strengthen its support and hospitality to young mothers in different structures of its "Crèche Solidaire" programme, the NGO has decided to create a unique location: Village Aina Antanandrano. The young beneficiaries receive both social and professional support, through training in various sectors: agricultural and livestock, crafts, hairdressing and beauty care, cooking.

Solidarity AccorHotels and teams at the ibis Antananarivo Ankorondrano support this project by funding a portion of the training material to ensure long-term accompaniment for the programme's 60 beneficiaries.

Once on site, when I saw these young mothers with their babies, I realised that I absolutely needed to do something to help. Making a personal commitment, by presenting my career, is also a way of showing that, when you work hard, you can get there!
