Support of families in difficulty to help them to move out of exclusion and become autonomous.
ACLEFEU is a French association that has been working since 2005 to rekindle bonds in inner cities between young people and their families, the local population, the authorities and the business world. Their first local initiative was a friendly debate (“café-débat”) organized in 2009.
For many years ACLEFEU has run programs to help socially vulnerable families to come out of their exclusion and their neighborhood (organizing cultural visits), knit ties between their members (workshops on the family) and progressively move towards independence (support to enter the job market, financial management workshop, literacy, etc.).
The Accor Foundation supported these different programs in 2009, 2010 and 2011 and helped 56 families in difficulty.* In 2013, the Accor Foundation became Solidarity Accor
«I met several families in very serious difficulties during the five years I spent working at the Formule 1 in Clichy-sous-Bois. Their children never go on holidays, and there are not that many people around to give them a hand.”
