Solidarity Week: Three Paris hotels have joined forces to help Rejoué
Solidarity Week run by AccorHotels was in full swing from 5 to 9 December! Three Paris hotels, Le Royal Monceau Raffles, Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe and Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg, joined forces around a shared objective: organising a toy collection event from employees to help the Rejoué association.
The operation was very successful at Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe: "Our Ambassadors were very enthusiastic about this toy collection event. It was an opportunity for them to give toys a second life, a chance for other children to experience magical moments in the lead-up to Christmas and take part in practical terms in helping employees return to a long-term job."
In total, more than 130kg were collected as a result of these three hotels' initiative: books, dolls houses, cars and lorries, board games, jigsaw puzzles, cuddly toys, etc. everything to make the young and old happy!
"Our Human Resources Department's office turned into a toy shop for several days! Employees at Royal Monceau came on board and became involved in this cause. We are finishing the initiative with a very positive feeling" stated a Royal Monceau employee.
It's now the turn of the association to play a part. At Rejoué, all of the collected toys are sorted, cleaned and restored, then sold at a very low price so that families in need can benefit. In addition to making many children happy, the association goes one step further by proposing an ecological initiative: reusing toys as a solution for reducing waste and avoiding overproduction.
The association is focused on an integration workshop which offers an individual programme to help employees lacking job security find a long-term job.
Employees at Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg hope that as a result of this initiative they can "make as many children happy as possible as a result of the donations collected in the three hotels". This is everything that we wish them!
