Sofitel Paris La Défense runs for Apprentis d’Auteuil

Presentation of donation cheque to the Apprentis d’Auteuil charity

On Sunday, 23 June 2013, a team of seven Ambassadors from the Sofitel Paris la Défense competed in the Paris ‘Team 10K’ race. By entering for this sporting challenge, the 7 runners were hoping to encourage sponsors to pledge donations in support of the charity Apprentis d’Auteuil. The Ambassadors also approached the Accor Foundation to support them in their efforts. Thanks to the donations collected and the support of the Accor Foundation, the charity’s kitchen now has a dishwasher suitable for training the young people it helps.

A cheque for €2,500 was presented to representatives of the charity on Thursday 10 October in the Thiais training restaurant. Twenty or so young trainees also attended the presentation to hear valuable advice from Matthieu Gaujard, General Manager of the Sofitel Paris la Défense.

Our congratulations go to the Sofitel ambassadors for their admirable initiative!

Les Apprentis d’Auteuil is a registered charity formed in 1866, which is today committed to providing training and education for more than 13,000 young people every year, all of whom live in difficult and challenging circumstances. It helps them to integrate into society and supports their families in fulfilling their parental role in education. It runs more than 200 centres in mainland France and the French overseas departments and territories.
