Selection Committee: the Group employees renew their commitment!
On Thursday, May 12, AccorHotels employees from China, Chad, France and Ghana, submitted 4 new projects to the Solidarity AccorHotels second Selection Committee of 2016. The selected charities and insertion projects will receive financial backing from the endowment fund, as well as the support of the local AccorHotels teams, for a full year.
In China, Shanghai Young Bakers - Training in French/Chinese pastry-making and baking in Shanghai. The SYB project offers full, high-quality training for disadvantaged rural Chinese youngsters. In addition, the trainees can express their talent in the kitchens of 4 hotels of the Group, who take them on as interns to allow them to perfect their technique. [learn more about this project]
In Chad, ESSOR - Since 2014, the teams of the Novotel N’Djamena La Tchadienne have given their support to the Jeun'action training program targeting the city's young people from vulnerable families. Through internships in the hotel, some dozen youngsters can put into practice the know-how acquired during their theory courses. [learn more about this project]
In Ghana, OAfrica - Teams from the ibis Styles Accra Airport support the charity's YASS (Young Adult Support Service) project aimed at empowering the young adults leaving the orphanages at 18 years of age. [learn more about this project]
In France, Rejoué - Solidarity through toys. The Rejoué insertion project, based on the recycling and resale of used toys, has achieved considerable success. In 2016 the charity wishes to scale up and expand its activity. Emmanuelle Woiemberghe, Human Resources Manager at Mercure Paris Montmartre, is supporting the organisation on this new adventure!
