Madagascar: Graines de Bitume opens a new Employment Centre
On Thursday, 12 December last year, the charity Graines de Bitume officially opened the ISA Ivon’y Serasera sy Asa employment information and jobs centre in the Madagascan capital of Antananarivo.
Graines de Bitume has been running its ‘Professional Project’ programme since 2000 with the aim of supporting street youth in building a better future through employment. In 2013, Ibis Antananarivo General Manager Yoann Favennec asked Solidarity Accor* to support the creation of the new employment centre. Open every day, the new employment information and job centre offers the support and assistance needed by street youth to enter the world of work.
Many of those young people were there for the official opening ceremony, and had produced an exhibition of photos expressing their employment goals especially for the occasion.
* In 2013, the Accor Foundation became Solidarity Accor.
