France: Cuisine Mode d’Emploi(s) inaugurates its new training center

On Wednesday March 12, 2014 in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, Thierry Marx, Frédérique Calandra (Mayor of the 20th arrondissement) and the partner foundations (including M6, Eiffage and GrDF) inaugurated the training center premises of the non-profit organization Cuisine Mode d’Emploi(s) created by Michelin-starred chef Marx. The new center, fitted out thanks to the support of Solidarity Accor, will be able to take in more young trainees and offer two new courses in bakery and restaurant service.

Thierry Marx presented the training program’s first success stories: 100% of the trainees from the first two cohorts have already found a job! He also expressed his thanks to all of the foundations for their support, whether in funding, equipment or skills. Christine de Longevialle, Managing Director of Solidarity Accor, highlighted the ways in which the project ties in with Accor’s core business. She also underlined the effectiveness of such hand-on training programs: “Around the world, Accor employees work alongside NGOs to support training projects for people in difficulty; they are constantly impressed by the high potential of the beneficiaries, and by what they go on to achieve”.
